Anindya is associated with St. Xaviers Collegiate School, Kolkata for the past 30 years as the Senior Maths teacher. He graduated in Mathematics from St. Xavier’s college and joined Calcutta University for Masters. He was one of the favourite students of Father Goraux, direct disciple of Albert Einstein, Prof. K.C Maity and Prof. Ramakrishna Ghose, eminent Mathematics wizards.
Anindya holds a Gold Medal for his outstanding performance at the B.Ed level. He is a recipient of the Rashtra Nirmata Purashkar for his service to education.
Anindya has authored many mathematics books, ‘Innovative Mathematics’ being one among many others. He was the co-ordinator of Mathematics Olympiad under the department of Higher Mathematics, Govt. of India. Anindya is a regular speaker in the Education Special program of Doordarshan Bangla, “Poriksha Special”. He has also been part of many other educational programs conducted in different channels viz., NDTV, ABP Ananda, Akash Bangla etc.
Apart from his dedicated service to school, he is also involved in multifarious social activities. He has been part of many social initiatives and has imparted education to the economically disadvantaged students and travelled to the remote places of Murshidabad, Birbhum, Midnapore, Bankura for his love of teaching. He has also taught as a guest teacher in Shantiniketan Biswabharati.
Anindya is extremely popular amongst students and they keep visiting him even after several years of passing out school. It gives him immense pride and happiness to see his students achieving success in different fields all over the world.
Sasi Kumar joined the Bank Sohar in 2007 and was its CEO till 2018. Overall he has 28 years of experience in Banking, Finance and Business. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Management Accountant. He is a rank holder in Chartered Accountancy and Gold medalist in Cost & Management Accountancy. He is a fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India. He has also worked in various other Institutions. Before joining Bank Sohar he was the Senior Vice President of Srei Venture Capital Limited and before that Director of SAS Investment Fiduciary Limited.
Terence was last Managing Director and Global Head of Financial Markets Rates Sales with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB). Within this mandate, he was also responsible for Money Markets and Financing Sales globally. He was a member of Financial Markets Sales Management and Treasury-Markets Steering Committee.
Prior to SCB, he served with Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML). He held both regional and country responsibilities at BAML where he was last both Asia-Pacific Head of Rates Distribution and Singapore Country Head of Fixed Income and Currencies Sales and chaired Bank of America Singapore’s Local Management Team where he was responsible for the overall build up and growth of the Singapore office.
Prior to BAML, Terence was Singapore Head of Fixed Income Sales at Citi, where he was also a member of Citi’s Macro Sales Desk.
Terence is Singaporean and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics/Mass Communication) from the National University of Singapore and completed the General Management Programme with NUS Business School. Terence has attended Harvard Business School’s Executive Education programmes in Authentic Leadership Development and Leading a Global Enterprise.
Terence contributes to the financial markets, serving currently on the EXCO of the ACI Singapore – The Financial Markets Association and on its Education Sub-committee.
Amit Roy-Chowdhury is Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Riverside (UCR). He is a researcher and educator who leads the Video Computing Group at UCR, working on foundational principles of computer vision, image processing, and vision-based statistical learning, with applications in cyber-physical, autonomous and intelligent systems. He received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, India, his Masters in Systems Science and Automation from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, and his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Prof. Roy-Chowdhury’s research has been supported by various US government agencies and private industries. His research group has published close to 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals and top conferences, including ~50 journal papers and another ~40 in highly competitive computer vision conferences. He is the first author of the book Camera Networks: The Acquisition and Analysis of Videos Over Wide Areas, the first monograph on the topic. His work on face recognition in art was featured widely in the news media, including a PBS/National Geographic documentary and in The Economist.
He is on the editorial boards of major journals and program committees of the main conferences in his area. He is a Fellow of the International Association for Pattern Recognition.
